How to check whether you are subject to a notice
INTERPOL publishes only some Red Notice extracts online. Most notices are restricted to police use, so the reliable route is an access request to the CCF.
- INTERPOL's public Red Notice list can be searched by name, nationality, gender, age, requesting country and keyword, and displays up to 160 results per search.1
- Extracts are published only at the request of the member country concerned, when public help is needed or the person may pose a threat. Most notices are for police use only.1,2
- INTERPOL says most notices are for police use only, so most do not appear on the public list.2
- A person can ask the CCF whether INTERPOL holds data about them by submitting an access request through the CCF portal. The CCF aims to decide access requests within four months of admissibility.3,4,5
